The KLA Global Workplace Services (GWS) team is passionate about enabling the business goals and company culture through the delivery of workplace environments and services that foster teamwork, innovation and productivity. Our team runs a worldwide portfolio of over 3 million square feet, 135 sites and over 12,000 employees. In addition to ensuring the workspace and manufacturing facilities operate seamlessly, this group also provides employee and site services, such as cafeteria, transportation, security, and safety. The team is responsible for all construction and site improvement work to enable the business needs as well as align with the financial requirements.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Focuses on mechanical and plumbing infrastructure
Develops, implements and maintains technical system capacities and mechanical and plumbing designs, including quality assurance and control systems and activities
Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for construction, commission and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company space and sites. This will including strategic master planning with an ability to develop from concept through design completion an integrated site MEPC masterplan
Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations
Works closely with the facilities project team to make recommendations, provide insight and guidance during the project development to create more robust and/or cost-effective solutions
Demonstrated ability to develop, execute and report on site infrastructure maintenance plan for multiple buildings within a campus and demonstrated experience working with an IFM team
Create and deploy mechanical and plumbing designs and tracking and site strategy standards, including but not limited to office, lab, and cleanroom environments developing environmental documentation, including goals, standards, and outward facing documents such as the Corporate Social Responsibility report
Maintain and create a lifecycle renewal program along with ongoing monitoring to help make recommendations for repairs and replacement while optimizing costs and business continuity
Occasionally lead project management initiatives on select MEP infrastructure projects, accountable for managing budgets, schedules, and risks
Qualifications:
Engineering, construction, or design management experience specific to critical environments (Labs and cleanroom)
Solid understanding of building operations, mechanical and plumbing systems, and the related impact to adjacent spaces
Experience in Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between mechanical and plumbing Subcontractors during construction
Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain concepts to a range of audiences on technical solutions and recommended improvements
Capable of working both independently and in multiple teams. Knows how to multi-task and effectively organize responsibilities to set and meet priorities
Experience in high-tech, fast-paced environment; focused on customer service
Strong organizational and record keeping skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs and AutoCAD is preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with
Minimum of 10 year of relevant work experience is required
Professional Engineering license is preferred
