The Opportunity
This position works out of our Irvine, CA location in our Electrophysiology Division.
What You’ll Work On
Oversee the planning and execution of all facilities-related activities for the designated facility or business unit. This includes managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, coordinating maintenance and repair work, and optimizing the use of space and resources. Additionally, develop and implement strategies for improving operational efficiency, manage budgets and contracts, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the overall goals of the organization.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee facilities planning activities for company.Through intermediate managers, direct space allocations, moves, and facilities construction, modification and maintenance.Implements facilities policies and practices.Develop facilities policies and practices.Review and approve facilities related contracts and vendor qualifications.Develop and monitor facilities related budgets. Assist space planning with moves and office related projects.Oversee or coordinate activities related to grounds maintenance, janitorial services.Assist with on-site physical security as directed by manager and the Global Security Group.Oversee facility emergency response and automation systems operation.Assist with development and implementation of service request and preventive maintenance systems and equipment procedures.Assists with development of disaster recovery and business continuity planning as directed by manager.Management and coordination of the machine shop.Coordinating with suppliers to proactively troubleshoot HVAC, exhaust systems, air compressors, electrical, and infrastructure systemsManagement of suppliers, contracts, projects, and departmental invoices.Communicate facility concerns with EHS staff regularly.Supervise the facilities team (3-5 individuals), their tasks, and performanceHires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Sets goals which align to department plans and manages the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceMinimum 5 years prior supervisory experience desired. 5 years related experience. Medical Devices/Clean Room experience.Previous facilities management experience.Strong interpersonal and project management skills. Proven customer service skills and strategies. Experience selecting and managing vendors and contracts. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results. Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. The base pay for this position is $95,500.00 – $190,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
