Posting Number NONAC3613 Job Title Sr. Faculty & Physician Recruiter Position Title Sr. Faculty & Physician Recruiter Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Hiring Range $98,500-$104,300 Department Human Resources Position Summary The Faculty/Physician Recruiter is responsible for leading the full-cycle recruitment process for faculty and physician positions. This role partners closely with department chairs, division chiefs, and senior administrators to develop recruitment strategies that attract, evaluate, and hire highly qualified academic physicians, researchers, and clinical faculty. The recruiter ensures that recruitment efforts align with the institution’s mission, values, and strategic goals, while fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce. Minimum Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.· At least 5 years of professional recruiting experience, including a minimum of 3 years focused on physician, faculty, or executive-level recruitment.· Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment for complex, high-level roles.· Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, and compensation negotiation.· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications · Master’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline from a regionally accredited college or university.· Experience recruiting in an academic medical center or large healthcare system.· Knowledge of AAMC guidelines, faculty appointment processes, and medical staff credentialing.· Familiarity with physician compensation structures, academic rank systems, and clinical practice models.· Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment.· Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, and recruitment analytics.· Professional certification (e.g., AAPPR – Association for Advancing Physician & Provider Recruitment, SHRM-CP/SCP, or AIRS certification). Description of Job Duty Key Responsibilities· Manage end-to-end recruitment for faculty and physician positions, from requisition creation to offer acceptance.· Partner with hiring leaders to assess workforce needs, develop position descriptions, and define search strategies.· Source diverse candidate pools through networking, associations, databases, referrals, direct outreach, and national/international advertising.· Screen and assess candidates for qualifications, experience, and alignment with organizational needs.· Coordinate candidate interviews, visits, and related logistics with search committees and departmental staff.· Advise leadership on competitive compensation, market trends, and recruitment best practices.· Ensure recruitment processes comply with institutional policies, accreditation requirements, and equal employment opportunity regulations.· Maintain accurate recruitment records and metrics to support reporting and continuous improvement.· Represent the institution at professional conferences, career fairs, and networking events to promote opportunities and build pipelines.· Collaborate with faculty affairs, credentialing, legal, and onboarding teams to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires.
