Requisition ID :17018 Employment Type :Full Time Job Category :Finance Work Location :Davidson, NC (CSC) BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. Finance Business Partner will be expected to provide financial leadership, direction, and analysis to the Supply Chain leadership team. As a partner to the function, this role will convert complex business plans into forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans, develop and maintain scorecards, develop business cases, and provide proactive analysis, insights, and recommendations to optimize business performance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Facilitates the financial forecasting and planning processes with functional partners that result in forecast updates, annual plans, and long-range plans + Collaborates across the business to provide root cause analysis and actionable insights based on financial and non-financial data to functional partners. + Analyzes results across Supply Chain, identifying trends and proactively communicates insights to support the business + Serves as the primary finance partner for the Supply Chain organization. + Supports P&L analysis for area of responsibility + Ensures processes are in place to execute deliverables consistently, timely, and accurately + Develops business cases for key initiatives and major programs by creating robust financial models + Researches issues as identified, reports findings, suggests alternative courses of action, and constantly looks for process improvements. + Performs ad hoc analyses and present recommendations to key business leaders + Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. + Evaluates and measures execution of department objectives. + Reviews monthly expenditures and ensures that budgetary goals are met. Reviews monthly metrics to ensure goals are met. + Supports distribution operations, logistics, planning and procurement, EH&S & Sustainability leadership. + Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose. + Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required QUALIFICATIONS What You Need: + A bachelor’s degree in finance or the equivalent is required. + A minimum of five years financial and operational business experience is required. + Experience taking large volumes of data from multiple data sources (Excel, databases, & Tableau) and condensing it into a clean, insightful, and automated format + Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required. + Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Strong analytical, modeling and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions. + Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. + Proven track record of providing strong finance partnership + In depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements Bonus Points If You Have: + MBA preferred. + SQL / Tableau (or equivalent) experience a plus Other Requirements: + A valid driver’s license may be required. + Position requires up to 10% of travel Compensation starting at $72100 - $113300 depending on experience. The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity.
