Job Description:

About the Role: 

The Sr. Financial Analyst, Margin Management, Analytics & Insights will assist the Sr. Manager and Margin Management Team by orchestrating and stewarding enterprise-wide margin improvement through a 3-pronged (Baseline, Toolbox, Evolution) structure, systematic approach, and value creation strategic initiatives. This role will provide analytical support of the Organization to achieve its strategic margin objectives balancing AOP targets with the 3-year strategic plan.  

 

Proactively and timely provides KPIs that offers transparency into overall margin initiatives delivery, risks, and tradeoffs. 

Drive best practices to create a margin expansion mindset across the enterprise. 

 Support the identification and formalization of cross-BU, and enterprise initiatives annually. 

 

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:  

 

Perform P&L decomposition analysis and generate insights to support margin ideation & discovery to aim at establishing new capabilities and driving improvement linked to our long-term growth algorithm. 

Assist driving Bid Excellence through support and design of a process that encompasses (a) Bid Submission, (b) Bid Selection, (c) Contract Formation, and (d) Delivery on a consistent and standardized manner. 

Assist with creation of detailed business case analyses that provide full visibility into margin potential. 

Maintain margin improvement workstreams charters/scorecards across the enterprise and take proactive cross-functional action planning for risks, mitigations, and dependencies. 

Monitor margin improvement value realization and escalate risk and mitigations related to financials. 

Assist with creation of executive updates (ELT deep-dives, BOD meetings) and develop KPIs meeting materials. 

Support development of communication and education of Margin Management objectives across the enterprise. 

Embraces a continuous improvement mindset of processes, tools, techniques, and playbooks to advance margin improvement ideation and identification. 

Enable best practice sharing across business units and functions to enable value creation. 

Engage proactively with internal customers, including sales, business units, and BU finance. 

Support margin management data mining, report and KPI creation. 

 

 

Important Details: This is a role located out of our corporate office in Oakbrook, IL. This will be a hybrid role with Tuesday – Thursday onsite and Monday and Friday remote.   

 

About You: 

You’ll fit right in if you have: 

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting and/or Business analytical related field. 

3+ years of experience in finance, business, food manufacturing preferred, private label optimal. 

Superb analytical, ideation and coordination skills; ability to drive initiatives forward with cross-functional integration. 

 Effective communication of technical and business issues and/or recommendations across organizational levels. 

Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally/ teams / levels. 

Experience in diagnosing, isolating, resolving, and documenting complex business issues and recommendations. 

Strategic thinker with an Enterprise view that considers implications across multiple stakeholders. 

Astute with data mining extraction/techniques, modelling construct, advanced user of MS Office Suite (Excel, Power-Point, etc.), SAP, BPC, Power BI, data visualization tools, Alteryx.
