Pay Rate: $60 Location: Calgary AB Job Type: Contract Our Oil & gas industry client is looking for a Sr Financial Analyst with strong legal entity reporting experience. This is a year contract role with hybrid work style 4 days a week on site in Calgary.

Responsibilities:  Coordinate the compilation and accurate preparation of various Canadian and US legal entity financials statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS for compliance and governance purposes. Work closely with Business Units and the Tax team to support the preparation of the legal entity financial statements. Support legal entity statement review and audit engagements with Cenovus's external auditors, as required. Implement efficiencies and look for ways to improve processes, including the migration of legal entity financial statements to Workiva. Work closely with Accounting Research to resolve any reporting and disclosure matters on a timely basis, including changes to IFRS. Assist with the preparation and review of tax step memos, as required. Other reporting duties and projects, as required.

Qualifications:

Must have at least 8+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst Oil & gas Industry experience is a plus Strong knowledge of IFRS Standards Experience with Workiva strongly preferred
