ABOUT THE ROLE
CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property and mortgage lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deepen and broaden analytical skills within a high-impact environment. Located in our Plano, TX office, the Financial Analyst will work closely with various departments in a visible role to drive cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include enhancing reporting, optimizing business processes, and contributing valuable insights to improve strategies, manage risk, and maximize profitability. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage investor closings in the servicing system and administer servicing requirements for various investors, including investor reporting, clearing rejects and finalizing summary reports Reconcile cash and payables for investor reporting, identifying variances for accounting, corrections, etc. Administer the repurchasing of loans serviced for others Responsible for the purchase advice for loan sales Manage the transfer of loans within servicing systems Create and administer investor reporting for new investors, including certificates, escrow reconciliation, expense roll-forward, and activity reports Prepare and manage monthly and quarterly accounting schedules Prepare data for state audits, NMLS, MBFR, and HMDA requests Assist in the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects Reports to a supervisor or manager with limited supervision Understanding of Rate Lock Desk operations and Secondary market functions to facilitate loan sales, Capital markets or trading experience Support projects and other matters as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS, CAPABILITIES & SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills. Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task; must be detail oriented
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Business Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and SQL Understanding of accounting principles and concepts Requires 4+ years of finance or preferably financial service industry experience
