ABOUT THE ROLE
CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team. This in-person role offers an exciting opportunity to deepen and broaden analytical skills within a high-impact environment. Located in our Plano, TX office, the Sr. Financial Analyst will work closely with various departments in a visible role to drive cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include enhancing reporting, optimizing business processes, and contributing valuable insights to improve strategies, manage risk, and maximize profitability. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager [Director].
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage investor closings and administer servicing requirements for investor reporting, clearing exceptions and finalizing summary reports for Government, Agency, and non-conforming loans Complete reconciliations between cash and payables for investor reporting, identifying variances for accounting corrections, etc. Administer loan repurchases as needed, ensuring compliance with investor requirements Manage loan transfers within servicing systems Create and administer investor reporting packages for new investors Ability to perform escrow reconciliations, expense roll-forwards, and activity reporting for various parties Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting schedules to support financial reporting Assist in the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects Collaborate with internal teams, including capital markets, servicing, and accounting, to optimize financial performance Assist in audit preparation and compliance reporting as required Understanding of Secondary Marketing functions and Capital markets is a plus Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS, CAPABILITIES & SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills. Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task; must be detail oriented Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and SQL Understanding of accounting principles and concepts Requires 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the mortgage or financial services industry
