Sr. Financial Analyst - Medical Group

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting all stakeholders in the Medical Group. They are responsible for the tracking, compilation, distribution and management of departmental forecasts, productivity and reporting (Daily and Monthly). The Senior FA assists provider recruitment with Proforma preparation. They assess current physician database and work to create a master database from which Medical Group SQL and Tableau report creation will occur.  The Senior FA works with VPs and Regional Director to facilitate timely and accurate communication of financial performance

Position responsibilities:

Daily and Monthly Reporting and Financial Administration:

Compiles all departmental and individual productivity by provider versus forecasts.Prepares financial reports to assist department stakeholders with the development of current and long-term strategic planning forecasts.Processes and maintains all new and terminated providers in the Master Database and cFTE Reports.Ensures all appropriate accruals (locums and Independent Contractor Payments) are accounted for.  Compiles month end MOR metrics and maintains all cFTE updates in the Master Dashboard system. 

Physician and Departmental Performance and Productivity:

Prepares & analyzes reports on physician productivity/trending/benchmarking at the Departmental/Divisional/MD level.Designs evaluation tools/reports that will forecast physician performance and accurately project fiscal outcomes.Works within the Medical Group, Administration, Executive Directors to evaluate performance and contribution margins of faculty.

Faculty Administration:

Provide the Strategic Recruitment Committee with proformas and appropriate modeling. Monitor and process PSA and Independent Contractor pay arrangements in conjunction with Regional Directors of Recruitment.Reviews and is proactive in ascertaining that all information on faculty is up-to-date in the Faculty Information System for evaluation purposes.Monitors and works with faculty in order to meet all criteria established by funders and administration for research and development funding.

Budget/Forecast Preparation:

Develops annual budget per the guidelines established by the Medical Group, LUHS and SSOM. Work with Chairman, appropriate VP's, Executive Directors and Faculty to review visit, WRVU, and financial performance.Works to determine appropriate 'Clinical FTE" cFTE tracking and model compensation levels, including "Points" tracking, based on current compensation plans.Develops appropriate seasonality spreads for all metrics for approaching FY's.Ensures all physician tracking for compensation planning is complete in conjunction with departmental Business Analyst.Provides physician modeling to Chair, VP's Executive Directors throughout the year based on changes to physician cFTE, productivity, directorships, etc.Compensation Planning and Special Projects and Maintain updates in the Master Compensation file(s).  Provides research, analysis, and evaluation in all areas of the Medical Group of Loyola. Work with Ambulatory, PNO, Medical Group, Physicians, staff, and outside organizations to provide the best information and analysis available.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, data analytics, accounting or related field.3-5 years of previous job-related experienceExperience in developing and managing physician compensation models.Report creation using SQL and Tableau, Excel and other reporting tools highly desired.

Pay range: $67,828- $105,144

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
