About the Role:

Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of the Human Resources (HR) operations function. Responsible for analyzing and improving HR processes and systems to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department. This role involves data analysis, process optimization, and providing insights and recommendations to support HR strategies and objectives.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

Provides daily support and guidance to the Centers of Excellence (COE) and HR Business Partner (HRBP) teams, ensuring sound understanding and implementation of policies and procedures with consistency and timely follow-through

Interprets and ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures. Monitors workflow through the team to meet service expectations

Leads the team with handling complex employee inquiries and collaborates with the HRBPs as needed

Leads the creation and distribution of documentation addressing common employee questions or issues

Partners with HRBP Team globally and builds robust and standardized HR processes across all operations/sites to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and legal requirements

Investigates, diagnoses and resolves issues using HR data and analytics to improve HR Operations performance and/or enhance employee engagement

Provides accurate, timely responses to inquiries through phone, email, text, and the HR ticketing system

Supports new hire onboarding and orientation as well as offboarding, including processing required documentation

Supports staff with backlogged work, as needed

Ensures HR processes and practices comply with relevant labor laws and regulations ensuring reports and files are in compliance

Assists in audits and compliance reviews to identify and mitigate risks

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of HR-related legal requirements

Maintains accurate records of employee interactions and document inquiries and resolutions in the HR ticketing system

Supports other records maintenance including unemployment claims, verifications of employment, I-9s, personnel files, documentation retention requirements and E-Verify

Processes and monitors audits, reconciliations, and workflows

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

Evaluates current HR processes and identifies areas for improvement and implements scalable solutions. Automates processes where possible, creating operational efficiencies

Collaborates with HR team members to ensure consistent application and training of new processes

Coordinates Workday system configuration and testing during semi-annual releases and annual processes related to HR Operations

Develops project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution

Coordinates with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals

Participates and identifies process improvement projects, standardizations and simplifications of HR processes

Requirements:

BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field and 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in human resources with exposure to and demonstrated competence in all functional areas, or equivalent experience, training, and/or certification OR

Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field and 2+ years of related experience

PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred

Preferred experience: HR generalist in the life science or related industry, and HRI

Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work

Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas

Proficient with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area

Ability to work as part of a team; may train lower levels

Excellent computer skills

Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

Detail oriented yet can see broader picture for department

Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency

Strong project management skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strategic business partnerships to establish rapport and credibility at all levels is required

Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

Must be proficient with computer applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in legal risk assessment as well as the application of employment law in most HR business situations

Proven experience in program audits, process improvement, and HR operations

Proficiency in HR systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Strong understanding and practical application of federal, state and local labor regulations and policies is required; and ability to apply based on situation

Ability to think and consult tactically with some strategic consideration

Ability to deal effectively and confidentially with employees at all levels within a diverse workforce regarding HR related topics

Experience with HR software such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $95,100.00-$138,050.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
