**Description:**
**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Senior Grants Specialist assumes oversight of all financial and performance tracking, revenue management, and the programmatic and fiscal reporting for all grants in St. Peter's Crime Victim Services. The Senior Grants Specialist is ultimately responsible for the management of a $4+ million annual grant budget and the team that works to ensure stability of grant projects. Work involves leading a team of of grant specialists (Project Analysts) who share in responsibility of reporting program objectives, fiscal vouchering, and grant deliverables. The Senior Grants Specialist must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and a high level of confidentiality.
**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, criminal justice, or related field.
**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Knowledge of and prior experience with the New York State Grant Gateway and SFS system for a minimum of 2 years is required, 5 preferred.
+ Experience with grant management and reporting for a minimum of 3 years is required, 5 preferred.
+ Excellent writing skills, public speaking, and computer proficiency is required.
+ Previous experience working with victims of crime is preferred.
+ Sexual Assault Counselor certification by the New York State Department of Health is required for this position to provide crisis intervention, victim advocacy, and counseling services.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
1. Oversight of team that manages Crime Victim Services grants and revenue streams: •Responsible for assigning and coordinating the grant reporting for St. Peters Crime Victim Services to federal, state, and local funders, in conjunction with the St. Peter's Crime Victim Services Director. •Chiefly responsible for developing and designing systems for grant objective tracking, including developing new systems and updating forms when necessary. •Works with the grants team to troubleshoot issues encountered. •Coordinates meetings with program colleagues, Supervisors, and Managers to remain appraised of status and activity on grants. 2. Ensures timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to project funders:
•Responsible for reviewing grant reports prior to submission by Project Analyst and Grants Specialist.
•Ensures that all reports to funders, including program reports and fiscal reports, are submitted in a timely fashion.
•Verifies the accuracy of all grant reports, signs, and submits to funders.
•Manages issues with funders as needed.
3. Management of departmental finances:
•Reviews status of grant vouchering and award processing with St. Peter's Crime Victim Services Director, Director of Grants, and
Finance staff monthly.
•Updates Director of any issues related to financial awards.
•Develops annual St. Peter's budget and annual grant budgets with Director.
•Reviews and submits Budget Amendment requests to funders when appropriate.
**Additional responsibilities include** :
+ Serves as a member of the St. Peter's Crime Victim Services leadership team
+ Develops departmental policies as needed
+ Supports department-wide responsibilities as needed
+ Assists with management of daily huddle metrics
+ Attends staff meetings
+ Attends meetings with funders
+ Other related duties as assigned by the Direct
Pay range: $0-$0
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
