CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Health and Safety Specialist to join our Corporate – Health & Safety Team at our Atlanta, GA; Duluth, GA; or Charlotte, NC office.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA's corporate support teams provide vital specialized services to our technical business lines and market teams including financial, legal, marketing, business development, human resources, information technology and operational services.  These teams may also support clients when their skills and expertise are required.

 

The Sr. Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for assisting our operations teams by driving our proactive safety culture; working with operations leadership to assess and mitigate risk; providing technical presentation and safety training; conducting incident investigations/Root Cause Analysis and development/sharing of lessons learned; assist in the development of safety standards and safety program elements; providing safety guidance/expertise to our field operations teams; development of project safety submittals; development of project specific safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses, supplemental programs/submittals for high-risk work activities; conducting Job Site Visits/Safety Audits.

 

The successful candidate will reinforce our People First approach to safety by focusing on minimizing the risk of workplace incidents, injuries, and exposure to hazards for our employees, partners, and the public. The Sr. Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for implementing and reinforcing our Corporate Safety standards, promoting a proactive safety culture within our Southeast Region Business Practice and developing safety protocols in compliance with OSHA, State, Local and client requirements.

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene; Occupational Safety; Environmental Health & Safety required Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience managing/implementing health and safety programs required3+ years of construction site safety experience preferredSafety Certification (Associate Safety Professional or Construction Health and Safety Technician or similar preferred)Qualified Trainer preferred: Personal Fall Arrest System, Permit Required Confined Space entryExperienced in the development of Project Safety Plans; Risk Assessments; implementation of corrective and preventative actionsExperience in the development and implementation of proactive safety engagement programSafety Inspection/Auditing experienceAbility to travel to support project site safety inspections/audits (~25% of the time) SALARY RANGE:

$75,000 - $100,000

 

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
