Sr. HR Analyst, Compensation
*Location*: Hershey, PA * Work Location*: Open to remote candidates though preference will be given to candidates local to Hershey, PA. * Payband:* 1A * Reports to*: Director, U.S. Compensation * Summary of Role*: The Sr HR Analyst Compensation will play a critical role on the Global Total Rewards team and is accountable for translating compensation data into actionable insights. Responsibilities include supporting the business on compensation-related requests, including job evaluations, offers, analyses and other related requests as needed and assigned, as well as job matching, benchmarking survey submissions and results analyses. The ideal candidate will have experience in compensation, particularly as a partner to the business and job matching, and a strong understanding of compensation principles, market trends, data analysis techniques, and relevant regulations (ex: Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Minimum Wage). * Role Responsibilities*: * As a compensation partner to the business, works closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to understand their needs, evaluate and benchmark their roles, and support offer and other award development. * Continuously audit data to maintain data integrity and make recommendations based on analyses. Review and maintain job codes and titles in SuccessFactors system to ensure consistency, accuracy and accessibility. Analyze data and reports to identify trends / insights that will influence business decisions. * Support job mapping project; identify areas of concern and explain mapping decisions and FLSA implications; maintain mapping files and related documentation. Review job descriptions to assess appropriate market benchmarks and to determine pay level. * Participate in compensation surveys. Support the analysis of results and implications to Hershey’s compensation levels and practices when survey results are returned as well as the data integrity and maintenance of Hershey data within our Compensation tool, PayFactors. * Support project work, such as reorganizations, redesign of processes for efficiency, and other projects that arise from time-to-time through analysis of data and research of supporting materials. * Support compensation year-end program activities, including audits of data and program cost exercises as well as updates to program brochures and knowledge articles. * Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities*: * Effective verbal and written communications skills. * Ability to apply job evaluation techniques such as market pricing, classification, etc. * Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and problem-solve * Ability to research complex questions * Strong Microsoft Excel skills with proficiency in other Microsoft applications, SuccessFactors, and SAP * Minimum Education and Experience Requirements*: * Analysis and Decision Making o Systematically gathers information from a variety of sources, analyzes information, identifies implications of data, draws appropriate conclusions, generates viable alternative solutions to a question or problem, and evaluates the consequences of choosing each alternative. Keeps abreast of all relevant laws and emerging regulations. * Requirements*: * Education – o Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field. Experience – o 3-5 years in Compensation or related experience with proven analytical and computer software capabilities.
