Job Summary
The Senior HR Budget & Partnerships Analyst will play a crucial role in managing the department's operating expenses, tracking vendor contracts, and ensuring alignment with procurement processes. This role will involve close collaboration with HR leadership, Finance, and Procurement to provide monthly financial reporting, lead reforecasting and annual budgeting activities, and maintain accurate records of budget-related decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Budgeting, Reforecasting and Monthly Reporting Activities:
Partner with HR budget owners, Finance, and Procurement teams to support budget creation and management.
Lead the budgeting, reforecasting, and reporting processes. Including gathering inputs from HR leaders and other relevant stakeholders.
Prepare and present budget proposals, reforecasts, and final budget allocations to HR leadership and finance teams.
Partner with HR leadership to provide monthly financial reporting on department expenses, forecasts, and actuals. Includes presenting and explaining variances between actual and budgeted figures, offering insights on corrective actions if needed.
Maintain detailed records of budgetary decisions to ensure transparency and accountability in budgeting, reforecasting, and financial reporting processes
Vendor Contracts & Procurement Partnership:
Work closely with HR and Procurement teams to ensure that vendor selection, contracting, and payments align with the HR department’s budget.
In partnership with Procurement, maintain a comprehensive record of vendor contracts, ensuring timely tracking of payment schedules, renewal dates, and contract terms.
Collaborate with Procurement to ensure vendor contracts align with overall financial goals and budget expectations, ensuring that all contracts and payments are accurately reflected in budget and financial reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or a related field, preferably within HR or a similar department.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.
Familiarity with procurement processes and contract management.
Proficiency in financial software, Workday and Excel; experience with budgeting and forecasting tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an HR department or a role that supports HR operations.
Knowledge of HR-related expenses, including benefits, compensation, and recruitment costs.
