The Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide effective and consistent delivery of human resources services and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This individual will build collaborative relationships and provide guidance and coaching to managers, and employees, while ensuring alignment with Chart’s mission, vision and values. The successful HR Generalist will be a nimble learner with the ability to apply strong problem-solving and sound judgement skills.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be… Source, recruit, screen and interview candidates. Partner with hiring managers to create exceptional new hire onboarding experiences. Employee relations issues - conduct internal investigations and recommend appropriate discipline. Coach leaders in the areas of conflict resolution, employee performance and policy interpretation. Seek to understand business goals and challenges in order to effectively support stakeholders. Collaborate with Chart HR professionals and leaders to leverage existing practices and implement process improvements. Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters Champion HR initiatives in support of an employee-focused culture with an emphasis on quality, key employee retention, change management and continuous improvement Provides weekly staffing updates to management Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary Your Education Should Be… Bachelor’s degree PHR or SHRM-CP, highly preferred Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Lift up to 15 pounds Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting Your Professional Experience Should Be… Minimum of 4 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience must include recruiting, employee relations, and basic knowledge of both federal and state employment laws. Must be highly collaborative with a “partnership” mindset, able to collaborate and build trusting relationships across all levels of the organization. This role requires listening with patience and neutrality, using own judgment to determine degree of urgency and appropriate escalation. Demonstrated ability to use research methods effectively, including data collection, diagnostic, and analytical skills. Experience working with HR management systems, SAP a plus.
