Sr. HR Manager

Job Summary

The senior HR manager is accountable for partnering effectively with HR management, business management, and employees to drive business results through effective management and implementation of all HR projects, initiatives, and activities in support of the assigned area of responsibility to ensure consistency of Vistra's HR policies across Vistra’s business units.

Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Lead Human Resources Manager responsible for daily Human Resources functions at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant

Lead expert on Collective Bargaining Agreements with Local 270 and 270PT

Responsible for establishing partnerships and maintaining close relationships with business management to recognize, identify, and understand business trends, issues, goals and needs for present and future business initiatives

Provides strategic human resource insight and guidance on organization issues and business implications pertaining to specific projects and initiatives

Supports implementation of new or revised HR programs and/or policies through effective communications and training of business unit managers and employees

Provides ongoing consulting and support services to business unit managers in the execution/delivery of HR programs and policies as well as guidance related to the management of their employees

Coordinates and partners with Employee Relations as needed

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

Four or more years of professional HR experience at high performing organizations

Experience supporting bargaining unit negotiations

At least two years' experience with California workplace laws

Experience with nuclear operations desirable but not required

Demonstrated leadership and customer focus skills

Certification as SPHR or PHR desired but not required

Knowledge of employment law and current HR trends

Minimum education is HS Diploma or equivalency

Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
