**Job Title: Senior Network Implementation Engineer** **Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)** **Start Date: Immediate** **Duration: 12 Months (Contract)** **Rate: $60-$65/hr. on W2** **Job Overview:** We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Implementation Engineer to join our team in San Jose, CA on a hybrid basis. This year-long opportunity requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in network design and implementation, particularly with routing protocols, network automation, and high-speed optical formats. **Key Responsibilities:** + Design and deploy scalable network infrastructures using advanced routing protocols (eBGP, iBGP, EIGRP). + Implement VRF-Lite for network segmentation to improve security and resource allocation. + Apply route filtering and distribute lists to ensure optimal performance and control. + Utilize BGP route tagging to maintain and enhance routing policy frameworks. + Work with optical technologies including 10G, 40G, and 100G for high-throughput connectivity. + Develop reusable configuration templates to standardize and accelerate deployments. + Automate network operations and configuration management using Python scripting. + Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure solutions with business goals. + Gather technical requirements from customer environments and deliver tailored implementations. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience. + Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in network implementation roles. + Deep expertise in eBGP, iBGP, EIGRP, and VRF-Lite. + Proficient in route filtering, distribute lists, and BGP route tagging techniques. + Strong knowledge of optical networking technologies (10G/40G/100G). + Proven experience with automation via Python for network operations. + Self-starter with the ability to manage complex tasks independently. + Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. + CCNP, CCIE, or similar certifications preferred.
