Industrial Design Implementation Engineering (IDIE) is seeking an experienced Sr. Architectural Designer to join the Design Engineering team. Our team works on pilot building projects for Whole Foods, Amazon Fresh Fulfillment and Distribution Centers. We also provide support for existing network grocery projects. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining designs for buildings under the above business lines. This includes end to end design support for buildings from concept to execution, engineering existing sites for value and efficiency, and creating and maintaining drawing standards for multiple business lines. Drawings will require a high level of detail using various CAD programs. A successful candidate will be able to collaborate with internal and external teams to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions with ambiguous guidelines. They will also be able work on multiple projects with various timelines while influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.

Key job responsibilities
Complete schematic designs for complex projects.

Partner with internal and external teams to streamline site layouts for value and efficiency.

Create design solutions that can scale and execute solutions with clear communication and documentation.

Maintain standards for multiple business lines, and create them for new building types.

Create drawings with a high level of detail using various CAD programs as tools to communicate with internal and external teams.

The Industrial Design team is a small but growing part of the larger Worldwide Grocery team responsible for designing the buildings that fulfill online grocery orders. We are an exciting, fast-moving business unit, where everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. The work is fast paced and exciting. Our goal is to get the highest quality food to our customers fast.
