Sr. Industry Solutions Director

As the Global Go-to-Market Leader for Life Sciences at Databricks, you will define the strategy to grow the Life Sciences business in terms of both revenue and new customers. You will be the domain expert and business executive for Life Sciences within Databricks. In this role, you will set the vision, build executive relationships with customers and partners, and work with a cross-functional team across Databricks. You must have a passion for how Data + AI will transform the Life Sciences industry, be familiar with the unique challenges that global Life Sciences companies face, and be effective at articulating your vision to audiences big and small. 

This position will be based in Europe, and will focus first and foremost on expanding our Life Sciences footprint on the continent. Within Life Sciences, BioPharmaceutical companies are the priority segment. This job will require travel for conferences, customer, and team meetings, with an expectation of at least quarterly travel to the United States. You will report to the VP of Healthcare & Life Sciences GTM.

The impact you will have: 

Own the go-to-market strategy for the global Life Sciences business: Create growth execution plan, cultivate C-level relationships with customers, and drive new customer logos and revenue growth Work closely with the field to create account-level, segment-level and region-level go-to-market plans across the globe Act as a thought leader in the industry by speaking at events, authoring white-papers, and engaging with executives Collaborate with marketing to develop Life Sciences content, collateral, and demand-generation plan Develop comprehensive sales programs to build repeatable and scalable motions to accelerate growth globally Become trusted advisor to various stakeholders within Databricks including product, sales, marketing, and partner teams Ensure Databricks has security messaging and positioning for the Life Sciences industry Create differentiated content for sales enablement teams to boost the confidence and productivity of the field Cultivate relationships - and solutions - with the partner ecosystem, including SIs, ISVs, and Data Collaboration partners

What we look for:

Minimum 10 years experience working as an executive in the Life Sciences vertical (directly in industry and / or deep experience working as a vendor to the industry and developing go-to-market sales strategies and programs) Intimate knowledge of the technology landscape in the Life Sciences industry Comfort across the entire value chain of BioPharma, including Research, Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial Strong knowledge of key regulations in the Life Sciences industry, with a particular focus on European regulations  Experience driving change at a large BioPharmaceutical company, with a strong understanding of how large BioPharmas make decisions, and an ability to influence that decision-making process Strong customer-facing presence (CxO, IT and Business Leaders), and the ability to cultivate executive relationships and open doors for the broader field Experience working with cross-functional teams, technical resources, and partners to build-out industry solutions Experience collaborating with marketing to develop marketing assets and to support events Demonstrated ability to teach, enable, and coach colleagues on how to position technology to customers in the Life Sciences industry
