Sr. Instructional Designer

The Senior Instructional Designer designs and develops training materials based on storyboards or project briefs, including e-learning modules, multimedia assets, videos, PowerPoint presentations, and trainers’ guides. This role involves conducting training needs analysis to identify gaps and determine training requirements that align with program goals and organizational objectives. Additionally, the Senior Instructional Designer recommends effective implementation strategies to ensure the successful rollout of training programs and suggests evaluation techniques to measure training effectiveness, contributing to continuous improvement. 

 

By creating engaging and impactful training materials, the Senior Instructional Designer supports our team in delivering exceptional internal and external customer experiences that meet KPIs and drive business success. 

 

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: 

Conduct training needs analysis to identify gaps and determine training requirements that align with program goals and organizational objectives. Use instructional design principles to create content that enhances knowledge retention and practical application. Organize content into logical, learner-friendly formats to support easy navigation and comprehension. Develop training materials that align with and support program goals and organizational objectives, align with brand guidelines, and maintain a consistent voice across all resources. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials. Design and develop digital training materials using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Suite, and video editing software. Design and develop content to enhance learner engagement. Recommend effective implementation strategies to ensure successful rollout of training programs. Suggest evaluation techniques to measure training effectiveness and inform continuous improvement. Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to design an optimal user experience. 


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:  

4+ years’ experience in Learning & Development, Digital Content Creation, or a similar field. Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, equivalent professional certification, or demonstrated knowledge preferred.  Experience within food service, manufacturing, or retail preferred.  Skilled in conducting a training needs analysis with SMEs  Recommends effective implementation strategy for learning  Clear understanding of Kirkpatrick’s Model of training evaluation  Advanced proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360) (Articulate certification preferred)  Proficiency with Graphic Design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) (Adobe certification preferred) Proficiency in video filming & editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects)  Proficiency with Microsoft Office
