Sr. IT Engineering Manager

The IT department at Airtable is seeking an IT Engineering Manager to drive the IT back office integrations and operations functions as well as the client platform engineering team. This role will oversee staff in multiple locations to ensure the timely delivery of IT services to the business. This requires technical expertise as well as people management skills.
This position will report to the Head of IT and may require travel to support Airtable locations.
What you'll do
+ Coach and mentor an IT Engineering team and client platform engineering team across multiple sites, focusing on end-user experience from setting up hardware to using collaboration tools.
+ You will drive standardization and management for our endpoints along with a number of enterprise applications and services
+ Lead a team of highly skilled System Engineers and CPE staff who Manage and administer a mixed platform client system environment (Mac OS and Windows) and productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Slack and Okta
+ Create and drive proactive monitoring and reporting for endpoint health, patching, compliance, and other performance metrics
+ Provide support and guidance to stakeholders
+ Drive integrations and automations projects
+ Conceptualize, develop, and lead projects focused on driving operational excellence while also leveraging automation to improve efficiency and security in our Infrastructure Operations and Client Platform teams
+ Establish best practices and policies for SaaS integrations and client platforms
+ Oversee company-wide integration projects
+ Develop and implement operational standards, processes, and documentation
+ Control costs and budgets regarding IT Support systems
+ Participate as an integral member of the IT leadership team responsible for defining and implementing IT strategy and continuous improvement objectives.
+ Define strategy and architecture to support company growth
+ Stay on top of current technologies and industry best practices.
+ Recruits, hires and manages systems & infrastructure teams with multi-disciplined technical staff
+ Manages, develops, motivates and coaches staff to continually deliver cutting-edge solutions for our internal and external customers
+ Provide a flawless customer experience by focusing on performance, availability and reliability
+ Performs advanced technical duties in support of systems & infrastructure teams and systems and infrastructure operations. Serves as a systems & infrastructure technical resource for other staff members
+ Maintains, establishes, and develops new, close and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, customers and vendors
+ Manages the creating and maintenance of an effective Business Continuity Plans
Who you are
+ 5+ years of experience managing IT engineering teams
+ Coach and support a tech team across multiple offices, focusing on the end-user IT experience from setting up hardware, using collaboration tools, and meeting SLAs.
+ Ability to communicate and influence at all levels, from the new college hire engineer to an executive audience
+ Strong drive to design and build solutions utilizing and integrating a team to achieve consistently effective results
+ Able to implement agile methodologies: Knowledge of concepts, including Agile Scrum and/or Kanban, and application of Agile methodology for project management to be able to design, implement and manage projects.
+ Strong Technical Leadership: Demonstrates technical expertise across multiple technology domains, including deep technical specialty in one or more of the following areas: Applications, Application Platforms, Software Engineering, Enterprise Information Management, Collaboration, Integration and Interoperability, Systems Management, Endpoint Devices, Network, Security and Cloud.

Compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their work location, relevant skills, and experience.

For work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles, the base salary range for this role is:
$192,100 — $249,300 USD
