Sr. IT Manager - Network Security

Job Summary:

The Sr. IT Manager-Network Security works directly with internal teams to determine and implement application/network security requirements, designs and maintains network security infrastructure, and responds to security incidents.

Essential Functions:

Manages a team of individual contributors responsible for the day to day operation of all company networks and perimeters, both internal and external Works with internal customers to interpret/clarify/implement change requests on security devices and networking equipment; primarily firewalls, switches, load balancers Troubleshoots security related issues: firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmented network infrastructure, multiple security zones, etc Maintains good working knowledge of VPN technologies and security protocols like IPsec, ISAKMP, SSL, PKI, RADIUS, TACACS, EAP, LDAP etc Designs, implements, and maintains network segmentation best practices such as VLANs, VNETs, and east/west firewall controls Works with Juniper/MIST equipment utilizing MIST cloud based control platform Implement and maintain 802.1x wired and wireless infrastructure Researches and evaluates network security products, and services Assesses all new software being onboarded into the environment to meet security posture requirements based on DFARS, CMMC requirements (NIST 800-171) Assesses all changes brought forth to the Change Approval Board to meet security posture requirements based on DFARS, CMMC requirements (NIST 800-171)

Additional Duties:

Maintains Palo Alto Panorama, Fortinet FortiManager, and MIST Cloud Maintains Microsoft Azure Network stack Works on a shared ticket queue Works closely with Corporate Global Information Security team to ensure adherence to all CraneCo policies and initiatives Creates and maintains network security and architecture documentation Evaluates and recommends solutions for short and long-term network capacity needs

Minimum Qualifications:

Six (6) or more years of network security experience B.S. in Computer Science or similar degree; or 5 to 8 years’ experience in a senior network security role Deep understanding of Palo Alto and Fortinet firewall platforms Deep understanding of Juniper/MIST networking platforms Strong understanding of common network protocols: UDP/TCP, DNS, SSL, TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, SSH, etc. Continually learning; willing to learn new technologies, processes and skills Ability to configure/troubleshoot intermediate features on switches and routers Able to automate, or learn how to automate, common tasks and/or gather statistics in a programmatic way Stays abreast of industry trends, protocols and updates in the network and security fields Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrates appropriate judgement and discretion Possesses strong professional and work ethics Demonstrates ownership, is a self-starter, and is motivated to get things done Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Credentials:

One or more vendor certifications for enterprise-level security platforms such as but not limited to CCNA, CCNP or CCIE in Security

Top Benefits:

Salary range: $161,387.20 to 203,652.80. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
