In this role, you’ll lead the assessment of products and suppliers, with a heavy focus on IT related services and purchases, and evaluate cost optimization. You will be the liaison between business leadership, technology leaders, and vendors to analyze contract requirements, identify risks, and recommend remediation. Key Job Responsibilities: + Collaborate with business and technology leaders in their evaluation, selection, management and renewal of information technology products and services to ensure appropriate contract terms (business and legal) are defined, negotiated and implemented. + Lead the negotiation with suppliers to achieve cost savings. + Supports effective procurement practices by coordinating the generation and submission of RFPs and RFQs and enabling the preparation and evaluation of competitive bids. + Develop and sustain relationships with NVR’s strategic technology vendors. Including the implementation of scorecards and other measures to actively monitor vendor performance and ensure lifecycle contract compliance. + Ensure compliance with NVR policies on all procurement activities. + Participate in assigned projects and initiatives involving the procurement of new technology products and services. Job Qualifications: + 5+ years of procurement experience in a large company environment + 3+ years of strategic sourcing experience with demonstrated expertise in influencing business strategy, vendor relations, and contract negotiations + Driven individual who can work independently, demonstrates initiative, and proactively seeks solutions to problems + Demonstrates sound judgment with strong analysis and critical thinking skills + Strong communication (written and verbal), collaboration, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills + Effective computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing) and capacity to develop written processes + Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to interact effectively with key stakeholders + Able to prioritize, multitask, and adjust to meet time sensitive demands + Required Experience: + Thorough understanding of commercial and legal terms within contracts (e.g. confidentiality, warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification) + Experience reading, analyzing, and negotiation of legal agreements + Professional understanding of basic information technology What’s in it for you: + Meaningful Work – NVR’s goal is to help families move into their dream home - your work makes an impact on our customer experience! + Modern Technologies – Learn the latest cloud and web technologies and help us modernize and transform our business.
