Sr. IT Systems Engineer (IBM i)Job Description

The Sr. IT Systems Engineer is responsible for constructing creative and logical detail designs based on architectural guidance. This position is responsible for being a deep subject matter expert and performing activities required for the support of secured IT infrastructure. This position is also responsible for managing work direction, leading, and influencing other engineers to achieve results.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, configuration, security and administration of IBM I systemsTroubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutionsOversee execution of key strategic initiativesCreate and conduct logical design based on architectural reviewsServe as collaborate pivot point between the engineers and managementOther duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredProven experience communicating effectively to multiple subjects and audiencesExperience with specific domain relevant to team5 years of experience with infrastructure technologiesMust be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Experience with IBM iMKS administration experienceMIMIX administration experienceSecurity and Object Authority AdministrationExperience with Rx ClaimExposure to ROBOT, IASP work, working with big filesExcellent written, technical, and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage work direction and lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within teamAbility to transition abstract concepts into technical deployment designsAbility to develop decision criteria and develop unbiased technology comparisonsStrong problem-solving and business analysis skillsStrong traits of decisiveness and judgment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)Previous experience in PBM / health care industryUnderstanding of security implications of domainITIL Foundations CertificationDesire to work in management and lead others

Physical Demands

Potential pay for this position ranges from $94,000.00 - $160,000.00 based on experience and skills.
