Sr. Java Developer
Position Description:

CGI Federal is looking for a strong Java backend developer to work on an Alfresco implementation project to harness emerging technologies and modernize the federal space. This role will require leadership, work ethic, client engagement and a passion for learning new skills such as Alfresco. We need someone that wants to take on a challenge and change the technical landscape of the federal government. This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, preferred location is Lafayette, LA. You will be required to be in the office 2 days per week
Your future duties and responsibilities
Develop specifications for COTS product implementation.
o Configure and Integrate Alfresco to satisfy functional and technical requirements as specified
o Develop the code to customize COTS product as per agreed upon customer requirements while coordinating with UX Specialist on the team
o Install and maintain incrementally delivered products in appropriate environments
o Analyze and fix problems associated with the system and work with appropriate vendors for problem resolution
o Monitor systems and correct any errors or inconsistencies
o Provide operations and maintenance for production system.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
o Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science preferred) and minimum 8 years of work experience as a software developer
o AWS Cloud experience in Federal government environment
o Experience working with Agile methodologies and ALM tools like JIRA
o Core skill set: Java, Spring MVC, Docker or Kubernetes
o Nice to have: Spring Boot, Apache Struts
o Angular.js and other JavaScript frameworks knowledge
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior Alfresco experience desired but not mandatory however, candidate must be able to learn Alfresco quickly on the job
• JavaScript, CSS/Bootstrap
• AWS DevOps
• GIT source control
• Agile Certification
Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required. Public Trust background investigation required prior to onboarding.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $94,400-$185,800.
