Position Summary: 

The Sr. Leader, Connectivity and Digital Software Development is a highly qualified technology leader responsible for overseeing the management, technical debt, security posture, performance, and maintainability of TireHub’s proprietary connectivity, middleware, and ecommerce Application Platforms. This role also includes stewardship of development resources, management of technical vendor relationships, adherence to development best practices, and budget oversight.

The role reports to the Director of Digital Solutions / Customer Connectivity.

Role Specifics:

Team Leadership and Management Oversees and ensures the delivery of high-quality technical resources across all Connectivity Development teams. Mentors and guides Technical Leads, driving performance, goal setting, and professional growth. Facilitates onboarding, integration, and cultural alignment for new employees. Promotes engagement within development teams, fostering collaboration with Application Support and Enterprise Applications teams. Regularly conducts team or individual meetings providing feedback and recommendations (i.e. Quarterly performance reviews, evaluations, etc.). Technical Oversight and Standards Defines, documents, and enforces SDLC standards while mentoring Technical Leads and developers in collaboration with Architects and department leaders. Partners with Technical Leads to address platform technical debt and ensure code quality. Supports Architects with first- and second-level technical elaboration of business solutions as needed. Collaboration and Vendor Management Works with leaders on staff augmentation, vendor management, and budget oversight and influence for development teams. Partners with Network/Infrastructure Architects to evaluate and adopt new deployment platforms for TireHub applications. Application Security and Compliance Maintains security compliance for all Connectivity custom applications, including TireHub Pass and TireHub Now. Support and Operational Excellence Coordinates with the Enterprise Application Support Leader to ensure effective third-level support, including issue triage, on-call schedules, and holiday coverage. Establishes processes for triaging urgent issues requiring third-level response and patching. Strategic Resource Planning Collaborates with Product Owners to develop monthly and quarterly resource allocation plans, ensuring the right resource levels to achieve goals while avoiding overcommitment. Business and Technical Acumen Elevates business exposure and acumen for developers and technical leads. Represents the organization’s mission, values, and vision in all activities.

·         Participates and maintains ongoing training requirements through in-class, in-person, or computer-based learning modules as assigned. 

·         Completes other tasks assigned by the VP of Sales, Director of Marketing, or another member of Senior Leadership, as requested.

Education/Experience:

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.   

·         Demonstrated success with both team leadership and the ability to be a player and a coach.

·         5-7 years in a technical leadership role with the ability to manage employees in the field (Locally and/or internationally).

·         Project management certifications are a plus.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Expert knowledge of .NET Core with hands-on experience in .NET and .NET Core. In-depth understanding of .NET fundamentals, including Object-Oriented Development, Generics, LINQ, Entity Framework, and Unit Testing. Proficiency with design and prototyping tools and diagramming. Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and associated design patterns. Expertise in API versioning, management, telemetry, performance tuning, and documentation techniques (e.g., Swagger). Ability to assess technical debt and create roadmaps for API/Middleware products. Skilled in peer reviewing Solution and Enterprise Architecture artifacts. Proven experience in leading technical teams and setting high standards of excellence. Strong organizational skills with the ability to track budgets, SOWs, and licensing. Capable of planning and executing large-scale, complex initiatives with project/program manager support. Effective people leadership with the ability to motivate, influence, and develop a diverse IT team. A valid Driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience required (3 years preferred; Does not include time on learner’s permits).

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience with middleware platform concepts, including business rule engines and service bus platforms. Familiarity with ERP lifecycles (AP, AR, Finance/GL, Inventory, Warehouse Management), especially within manufacturing and distribution. Knowledge of APM and Application Telemetry tools, such as Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Application Insights, New Relic, or Open Telemetry. Familiarity with major e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce) and best practices. Applied knowledge of Power Automate and Copilot (both Desktop and Cloud). Understanding of Data Analytics, Data Visualization, and Data Transformation platforms.

Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced and dynamic operating environment. Most of the time is spent sitting, constantly viewing monitors in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move around.  There may be occasions to move or lift light articles. Must be able to work flexible hours during routinely critical times to support the department.

 

**This role is based in our headquarters office in Dunwoody, GA, and requires a strong in-person presence.
