Job Description A customer of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Linux Systems Administrator to join their Secure Digital Transformation Environment! You will help build, configure, update, and maintain Linux workstations and servers. Additionally, you will perform system integration, hardware and software installation and configuration to support the architecture. Someone who has a strong understanding of Linux virtualized environments will do well in this role. This role will be FULLY REMOTE. You will: Provide maintenance and administration of all Linux servers (RHEL, OEL, SUSE, CentOS) across the entire enterprise environment (Sandbox, Dev, Test, Stage, Prod and DR) that includes but not limited to: building new servers, working with application owners for new installs, troubleshooting Linux issues, apply patching for critical CVE's for Linux, monthly or regularly scheduled patching, migrating old legacy Linux servers to newly supported editions of Linux. Skills and Requirements · 7-10 years UNIX/Linux system administration experience with a large infrastructure and organization · Perform daily duties of Linux maintenance on infrastructure applications and troubleshooting. · Provide necessary instruction and documentation for change requests, installing operating systems, loading (installing) COTS products, and configuring operating systems and COTS products · Operating System support and patching for Linux, and Linux builds (RHEL, OEL, SUSE, CentOS, etc.), Application Server Support (WebLogic, Java, JBOSS, TOMCAT, Layer7), Network Storage and SAN exposure, Shell scripting, SQL, Unix, Unix File system structure (SAN, NAS, ACFS), Load Balance knowledge, automating tasks, tuning · Complete Linux tasks that are assigned in LanDesk ticket system · Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation Strong communication and documentation skills null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
