Honeywell is hiring a Sr. Logistics Manager – Full Time role within the Corporate ISC Logistics function. Be part of a global team that applies its expertise and knowledge in driving technical solutions to improve customer service by optimizing delivery lead time, quality, and cost.
You will support technical projects finding innovative, efficient means to improve Distribution and warehousing business of Honeywell on a global scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse and Freight management:
· As a Sr. Manager on Corporate Distribution team, you will be responsible for defining and prescribing evolutionary roadmap for Honeywell global distribution centers.
· Design and develop warehouse management systems and solutions tailored to our operational needs. Also, implement system configs, integrations, and customizations to optimize warehouse processes.
· SC Network Modelling: Use modelling tools like llamasoft or optilogic to design and analyze global HON supply chain network to drive productivity in supply chain.
Cost Analysis and Control:
· Design, develop and implement scalable models to capture actionable opportunities targeting reduction in OPEX cost and optimizing distribution needs.
· Analyze costs associated with warehouse and Freight operations, such as labor, equipment, utilities and assessorial charges.
· Monitor budget performance and identify cost savings opportunities.
Process Improvement
· Work closely with IT, business logistics, and operations team to ensure effective system integration and alignment with business goals.
· Use SQL and R/Python to perform data pull and analyze distribution business trends driving key business decisions.
· Analyze and determine the optimal solutions for end to end flow of parts – including logistics routing, inventory optimization, capacity planning, storage, cross-docking operations etc.
· You will have full ownership over end-to-end process from identification of opportunities and bottlenecks in the supply chain to delivery of solutions
· Simulate and conduct sensitivity analysis to stress test existing DC operations and future models to identify operational bottlenecks and risks
Vendor and Contract Management
· Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and Freight vendors
· Partner with sourcing on contracts and service agreements to ensure competitive pricing and service levels
· Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience - 7 years to 12 years into Supply Chain /Logistics
· Warehouse Engineering: Functional experience with WMS, Product Slotting, Distribution Center MHE, Studying Labor Standards (time studies), Distribution Layouts (AUTO-CAD)
· Supply chain network design experience: Freight optimization models, Greenfield analysis using a network design software like Llamasoft, Optilogic etc.
· MS Office, MS Project, Transportation/Warehouse Management Systems (TMS and WMS), and Network analysis tools (Lmasoft), MS Visio, Statistical Analysis Tools, Simulation experience required
· Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Engineering or supply chain engineering and a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, or a Master’s degree in engineering or business, and 6 years or more relevant experience in the Distribution, Warehousing, Supply Chain Logistics industry is required
· Knowledgeable in modeling heuristics, best practices, and effective solutions from within the industry or derived from other industries
· Ability to thrive in a fast-moving and constantly evolving high growth environment
