Location: Calvert City, Kentucky - Arkema Site
Position Overview: The Sr. Maintenance Planner/Supervisor is responsible for supervising a select group of maintenance hourly employees. This role involves ensuring adherence to plant policies, enhancing craftsmen productivity, and interfacing with various levels of supervision and management regarding plant equipment or personnel issues. The incumbent will also provide emergency maintenance supervision during off shifts, weekends, and holidays, and oversee turnaround maintenance when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Communication:
Supervise maintenance hourly employees, ensuring adherence to plant policies. Communicate effectively with plant supervisors and managers to address equipment and personnel issues. Provide emergency maintenance supervision during off shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.Work Order Management:
Review work order backlog with operations supervisors to prioritize repairs. Coordinate with operations supervisors to ensure jobs are ready for execution. Analyze work orders to ensure efficient and safe completion.Leadership & Motivation:
Lead and motivate maintenance craftsmen to deliver superior service supporting plant operations. Ensure preventive/predictive maintenance is completed and mechanical integrity findings are addressed promptly.Planning & Scheduling:
Conduct planning and scheduling meetings to provide maintenance job plans and schedules. Develop annual outage plans in coordination with operations supervisors. Provide feedback on completed work to operations and maintenance engineering for documentation and analysis.Safety & Compliance:
Conduct meaningful safety meetings and support the plant’s safety process (BST). Ensure activities support the Arkema Integrated Management System (AIMS). Maintain Hazwopper Certification for emergency response participation.Continuous Improvement:
Participate in Continuous Improvement/Reliability projects to reduce maintenance and operating costs. Ensure activities contribute to achieving plant and department targets, goals, and objectives.Supplier Coordination:
Contact suppliers for Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations (MRO) parts and plant supplies.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Technical school preferred. Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in roles such as pipefitter, machinist, or electrician. At least 5 years of supervisory experience.Compliance:
