Sr. Manager, Alliance Management, Molecular Diagnostics
Job Description SummaryAs Senior Manager of Global Strategic Alliances, you will lead key strategic alliance management activities for BD’s Molecular Diagnostic Systems (MDS) business unit. You will identify opportunities to build new alliances as well as maintain existing accounts across all facets of our MDS business including product development, marketing, sales, service, training, customer support, technical support, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, etc. This position will also help to identify synergies between our alliances, both within the MDS group as well as other BD teams, which will enhance value creation for BD and its customers. Candidates are required to be onsite 4 days a week at one of the BD locations listed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement global strategic plans and tactics related to managing and growing key alliances

Lead discussions regarding contract negotiations, amendments, renewals, termination agreements, royalty payments, pricing structures, minimum purchase commitments, inventory levels, co-marketing initiatives, dispute resolution processes, etc. associated with each alliance

Manage alliance relationships on behalf of BD with external partners including but not limited to distributors, OEMs, suppliers, CROs, academic institutions, trade associations, industry experts, consultants, regulators, government officials, etc.

Develop and execute communication plans designed to cultivate positive working relationships among internal and external stakeholders; represent BD at relevant conferences and meetings

Conduct periodic reviews of alliance performance metrics and KPIs; prepare periodic status updates and presentations summarizing progress made against established goals and objectives

Monitor competitive landscape and market trends impacting the success of alliances; make recommendations for adjustments to strategy

Provide counsel to senior leadership regarding key risks and opportunities inherent in alliance management; serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on all aspects of alliance management


About You:

Minimum bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; Micro Diagnostics, marketing and/or business development and medical device or diagnostic industry experience is preferred

Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing global strategic plans and tactics required

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and influence key decision makers internally and externally required

Experience negotiating and managing contracts required

Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 20% of time required

Proficient English language skills required; additional languages desirable

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles. ​

$ 121,700.00 - $200,700.00 USD
