The Job at a glance:
We are looking for a leader who wants to build their brand as a Cloud Engineering Operations Sr. Manager by overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of AWS Cloud, Azure Cloud, and data center infrastructure. This role requires expertise in cloud operations, incident management, and team leadership. The manager will ensure that services are delivered reliably, securely, and cost-effectively, meeting the organization's operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Staffing & Operations Management:
Oversee the hiring, work scheduling, performance management, and career development of cloud engineering teams.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance within the team.
Cloud Migration & Operations:
Design and execute cloud migration strategies for transitioning from on-premise infrastructure to cloud environments.
Manage cloud operations to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance of cloud systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect cloud solutions that meet business needs, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Infrastructure Implementation & Maintenance:
Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure with continuous monitoring, proactive issue resolution, and cost optimization.
Ensure security, compliance, and governance of cloud environments by adhering to security frameworks.
Leadership & Team Development:
Provide leadership to cloud engineering teams, promoting skill development and operational excellence.
Deliver training and mentoring to team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize cloud initiatives that drive digital transformation.
Liaise with senior management to report on project progress and align infrastructure developments with business strategy.
Project Management:
Manage IT infrastructure projects, ensuring deadlines are met and results are achieved.
Generate critical reports for management on system availability, service level agreements, ticket resolution, and customer issues.
Customer Satisfaction:
Set a strong example of commitment to customer satisfaction, managing escalations, and resolving issues effectively.
Continuous Improvement:
Engage in continuous improvement by utilizing metrics to drive team and process enhancements.
Ensure the security, compliance, and governance of cloud environments by implementing robust security measures and adhering to cloud security frameworks.
Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and industry best practices, making recommendations to drive innovation and efficiency improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience.
Typically requires 1-2 years managing and developing employees.
Soft Skills:
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex technical information.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on metrics-driven decision-making.
Team building, mentoring, and coaching skills.
