Job Summary
The Sr. Manager of Construction is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects across multiple sites. This role involves leading a team of project managers and contractors, managing all phases of construction, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for maintaining safety, building code compliance, and aligning construction activities with the company?s strategic objectives.
Your Key Job Functions
Lead and manage multiple construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines. Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables. Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and addressing any delays or issues as they arise. Ensure that all construction activities adhere to regulatory requirements and safety standards. Manage and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and construction professionals. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing construction team. Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence across construction teams. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including property owners, franchisees, and corporate leadership, to align project goals and expectations. Continuously seek ways to improve reimage processes, focusing on operational efficiency, cost management, and quality enhancement. Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all construction work meets the company?s standards and specifications.What You Bring to the Team
Bachelor?s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. A master?s degree is a plus. 5-8 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on renovation, reimaging, or remodeling projects. Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site construction projects. Familiarity with negotiating real estate lease renewals as well as new real estate deals ? direct experience is a plus. Ability in troubleshooting and problem-solving real estate and business-related problems. Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external customers. Must have excellent organizational skills to ensure work gets done effectively and timely. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and to be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%. Legal, market research and/or finance experience/knowledge a plus. Real Estate / Lease related functions Excellent negotiation skills
