We’re Looking For: We are seeking a Senior Manager, Regional Controller to oversee the accounting teams at various locations and work closely with field leaders, focusing on monthly financial preparation, analyzing results, SOX compliance, and communication with senior leaders. You  will be responsible for overseeing monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and company spend while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and driving efficiency across the team.

Your Impact: As the Senior Manager, Regional Controller, you will lead the accounting team and manage financial and accounting activities across several Canadian locations.  You will ensure compliance with industry regulations, including SOX, FASB, GAAP, and GAAS, and play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

You Will:

Lead and oversee monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis of company spend.

Ensure compliance with US GAAP, FASB, and SOX standards.

Develop and analyze budgets in collaboration with field and corporate leaders.

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, forecasts, and reserve calculations.

Provide financial projections.

Lead efforts to identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies and develop operational policies.

Provide financial insights to senior leaders at the VLC’s to improve financial results.

Oversee SOX compliance for your specific VLC locations and communicate with internal and external auditors.

Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and efficiency.

Assist in the implementation of new ERP system for the VLC’s, working closely with a cross functional team to ensure accuracy of financials and also find ways to automate processes when possible

Work closely with the rest of the Canadian Marketplace Finance/Accounting team to centralize processes once the ERP has been implemented.  

Who You Will Work With: Reporting to the VP of Global Finance, you will collaborate with senior leadership, field leaders, and corporate teams to ensure alignment on financial strategy and operational goals. Your role will involve frequent communication with external auditors, internal auditors, corporate accounting and other marketplace financial leaders.  .

Must Have’s:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred

10-15 years of finance and/or accounting experience, with at least 5 years in public accounting and 10+ years of managing people

Experience managing a centralized accounting function required

Advanced understanding of FASB, GAAP, GAAS, and SEC reporting requirements.

Experience managing SOX compliance, financial reporting, and auditing processes.

Experience in an auction environment preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills with a vision-driven approach.

Nice to Have’s:

ERP implementation experience.

Experience in both U.S. and Canadian accounting environments.

Experience in an auction environment preferred

Location in US, preferably Carmel, IN
