Sr. Manager, Integration

The Senior Manager, Integration is responsible for leading the seamless integration of new acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and other partnerships with Atlantic Health System. This role will ensure that integration activities align with Atlantic Health’s strategic goals, enhance operational efficiency, improve patient care outcomes, and maximize overall value. The Senior Manager, Integration will work closely with senior leadership, clinical teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement integration plans, manage change, and support the unification of diverse organizational cultures and systems. Key cross-functional partnerships include operations, service lines, human resources, IT, Quality, Finance, and Legal. This role will work closely with health system leaders and local executive teams to ensure the objectives of each strategic combination are achieved.
Essential functions:
Provide Direction:
+ Develop comprehensive integration plans highlighting key milestones, activities, and accountabilities to ensure successful benefits realization.
+ Monitor and report on the progress of integration projects, elevating any issues or obstacles promptly.
+ Develop a standard integration playbook, including processes and tools, to provide direction for integration teams and enable integration across the enterprise
Stakeholder Engagement and Facilitation:
+ Support a culture of collaboration and transparency.
+ Coordinate with key stakeholders to plan and execute integration processes and support adherence to schedules.
+ Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding integration progress and any necessary adjustments to timelines or processes
Operational Efficiency:
+ Identify and implement best practices for integrating clinical and operational systems, processes, and technologies.
+ Ensure the efficient allocation of resources to support integration activities and achieve desired outcomes.
Change Management:
+ In collaboration with stakeholder teams, support smooth execution of integration plans and surface issues early to minimize disruptions.
+ Provide support to team members during the integration process, addressing concerns and promoting a positive organizational culture.
Performance Improvement:
+ Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), to evaluate the success of integration efforts on patient care quality, financial performance, and operation performance.
+ Continuously monitor, assess, and communicate integration performance, making data-driven decisions to improve processes and outcomes.
Regulatory Compliance:
+ Ensure all integration activities comply with relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements and standards.
+ Ensure AHS incorporates industry best practices related to healthcare integration strategies and tactics to maintain organizational competitiveness and compliance.
Documentation:
+ Create detailed plans by time (e.g., Legal Day 1, Day 100, et cet) and by functional area (e.g., human resources, information technology, et cet.).
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration activities, decisions, and outcomes.
+ Document processes and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
Other Functions:
+ Perform all other related duties as required.
+ Participate in Atlantic Health quality improvement projects and programs.
Physical Requirements:
+ This position requires extensive walking, standing, sitting, and driving. Work is conducted in a wide variety of locations across northern, western, and central New Jersey and involves interactions with a variety of team members and medical staff.
Education and Experience:
+ An advanced degree in health care, business administration, law (MHA, MBA, JD), or a related field, is required.
+ At least seven years of experience in healthcare administration or a related field is required.
+ Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical practices and regulatory requirements is required.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive organizational change.
+ Experience within an integrated health care system is essential.
