Schwab’s Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) organization drives our strategy to create an integrated Wealth and Advice Solutions business and prioritize the investments we make in them. Within WAS, Investment Offers & Solutions (IOS) is responsible for managing our third-party product marketplaces (Alternative Investments, Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, ETFs, Structured Products, Fixed Income, Annuities & Insurance, and 529) as well as our proprietary Separately Managed Accounts. Our mission is to provide a positive experience for the Schwab clients that invest in these products, while growing a revenue stream which is vital to Schwab’s overall financial health.

 

Within IOS, Managed Accounts Solutions (MAS) is responsible for the end-to-end offer management for our third-party and proprietary managed investing, primarily Separately Managed Accounts (SMA). To do this, we maintain a robust product offering (e.g. by developing new offers, enhancing existing offers, or adding resources to the platforms), develop new tools and research for clients, build relationships with third-party and proprietary asset management partners, and work effectively with internal partners and outside firms to create a strong positive client experience. Serving individual investors, registered investment advisors (RIAs), retirement plans, and other institutional clients, our Managed Accounts offers are a centralized and shared resource for the firm.

 

As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for developing and supporting strategic initiatives for our third-party (Managed Account Select, Access and Marketplace) and proprietary (including Wasmer Schroder, Thomas Partners, Windhaven, SMP, UMP and Selective) Managed Accounts offers. These initiatives include addressing changing industry trends, evolving our business and economic model, pursuing market growth opportunities, intended to significantly enhance and expand our ability to meet our clients’ needs for Managed Accounts, including evolving our platforms to be more modern and competitive.

 

The Senior Manager will be specifically responsible for supporting high-impact efforts intended to significantly enhance and expand our ability to meet our clients’ needs for Managed Accounts, including evolving our platforms to be more modern and competitive. 

Developing and managing end-to-end strategic implementation of initiatives and multi-year roadmaps supporting ongoing management of our offers. Understanding market landscape and conducting competitive and financial analysis to identify offer enhancements.Assessing tradeoff decisions and roadmap prioritization to innovate offerings and capture market share.Independently leading strategic implementation of critical projects and offer enhancements (such as platform enhancements, new pricing strategies, business model evolution, and risk projects).Work closely with Legal and Compliance, Advisor Services and Investor Services partners, Operations and other stakeholders, in order to gather information, drive platform offer development/ optimization, mitigate risks, and implement strategies, to meet the needs of both AS and IS clientsSupporting business oversight and risk management of the platforms, as well as the development of the key objectives and measurable results. Required Qualifications

5+ years of full-time work experience, including 3+ years of work experience in financial services with product/offer management and / or business strategy, preferably with a top-tier consulting firm or at a large organizationExcellent problem-solving and data analysis skills, including ability to gather data and synthesize insights to understand client needs and business impacts to inform product designExperience developing business cases, leading and implementing major initiativesStrong project management skills, including attention to detail, high sense of urgency, and the ability to work efficiently, independently, and proactively to meet tight deadlinesHigh degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity, motivated to drive results while operating autonomously in a dynamic and fast-moving work environmentStrong communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability developing materials and effectively presenting to and persuading audiencesDynamic relationship building, partnership, and collaborative skills; a strong teammate with experience leading others indirectly to champion initiatives across multiple departmentsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective presentations and communications tailored to specific audiencesDynamic relationship, partnership, and collaborative skills; a strong teammate with experience working with others to champion initiatives across multiple departmentsBachelor’s degree required; MBA and/or equivalent post-MBA level experience a plus
