What you'll be doing

As a Sr. Manager, Privileged Identity & Access Operations, you will join CIBC’s Identity and Access Management department with a mandate of ensuring secure administration and operation of CIBC Technologies, that risk is mitigated to the appropriate level while enabling simple appropriate access. The scope of managed activities includes, and are not limited to:

Ensure appropriate provisioning of privileged access to infrastructure and SOX applications including privileged access management vault creation and maintenance

Enhancement and extension of vaulting capabilities, including operationalization of new technologies and connectors to enhance service offering and awareness of what is the art of the possible

Consultation on identity access management solutions related to privileged access for projects, risk assessments

CyberArk administration including onboarding new objects and safes

Validation of appropriateness of requests against standards, toxic combinations, deviations and approvals

Provide oversight of 7/24 operations of CyberArk solutions at CIBC via team on-call rotations; including scheduling, responsiveness to incidents; troubleshooting, resolution, etc.

How you’ll succeed

Risk Management:  The emphasis of the role is on process, audit, reporting, risk and information security management, technology and operations throughout CIBC and group of companies (Mellon Bank, FCIB, ATPW, PCF, Intria, Wood Gundy, Wholesale Banking, etc.).  Monitor regulatory environment for impact on security programs and initiatives. Execute remediation plans related to IAM deficiencies

Process Improvement:  This role provides an opportunity to streamline, standardize and create processes, implement and customize Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions based on client needs. This involves primarily, building and managing the team that is responsible for executing the privileged access management capabilities at CIBC.  Engagement management, including project planning, budget management, and resource management (i.e. Ability to manage an operating budget of approximately $1 million)

Leadership: Leading, motivating and mentoring team to project delivery/execution within Identity Access Management. Interact, educate, build relationships, and communicate with all levels of the business and key stakeholders. Provide support and escalation channel for the department to ensure timely and effective closure of security events.  Manage performance by providing fair and accurate formal and informal feedback, identifying and removing obstacles to performance and by explaining how performance expectations align with business objectives

Who you are

You have strong knowledge of Client Focus, Simplification and Innovation as they relate to Identity and Access Management domain and in particular the area of privileged access management. Expert understanding of the domain and related processes.  Thorough understanding of key controls, common risk framework and information security risk management. Good understanding of identity and access in cloud / governance / administration solutions. An understanding of access controls on the infrastructure layer is required.  Excellent leadership, coaching, team management skills to handle the operational execution of several IAO processes, activities, projects & deficiencies. CISSP/CISM preferred.

You can demonstrate experience in ability to influence senior stakeholders in situations that require cooperation and consensus. Must have 3-5 years of management experience, ideally in the Identity & Access Management field or related role. Must have 5+ years of information security experience. This role requires an expert understanding of our vaulting solution, CyberArk and awareness of Hashicorp products are an asset.  Prior experience in management of identity and access initiatives / deficiencies / activities is also an asset.
