Job Summary
The Senior Manager Regulatory Affairs GKA provides regulatory affairs expertise, compliance advice and documentation support in the area of flavour and food compliance. He/she will be part of the Global Key Account & Customer Excellence Team and liaise with other Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) departments and teams around the world. The function involves frequent communication with other departments (IC&D, Quality), IFF affiliates around the globe and Global Key Accounts.Key Responsibilities
Internal
Supporting the global key account managers in addressing customer’s concern and issues (e.g. in case of differences in data/interpretation/documents).
Be the main interface for specified GKA Global Leadership (Commerce, IC&D & Quality).
Provide regulatory guidance and collaborate cross functionally including Ingredient compliance, quality, creative application & account managers.
Be the ‘spider in the web’ for the global and regional (virtual) GRA GKA teams by taking the lead in facilitating and supporting regulatory strategic discussion for GKAs and related actions.
Assure global alignment & consistency in systems & processes and stimulate teamwork across GKAs & regions.
Participating - where required - in IT related meetings (transfer PLM to Innoverse based tools) and projects, provide advice to labeling/documents compliance-related questions clarification on regulations and/or issue resolution.
Assisting in updating flavor/food labeling, product compliance, disclosure/declaration policies or procedures, where applicable.
External
Obtaining & maintaining requirements for GKA customers in compliance systems.
Network with GKA regulatory counterparts, building external regulatory partnership.
Enhance Regulatory network/interaction with regulatory counterparts within the GKA organizations.
Engaging associations on external advocacy (heat map) & internal readiness.
Be able to discuss with external parties such as authorities, inspectorates and NGOs.
Required Skills
Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills, including strong verbal and written skills in English.
Ability to handle tasks/ projects independently, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines.
Solid comprehension of current regulatory, science & technology and ability to apply this knowledge on product integration projects.
Strong critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
Must be proficient in the use of computers and possess a working knowledge of associated office software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, SAP)
Must be able to be the ‘spider web’ of cross-functional teams that aim to provide regulatory/strategic support for Global Key Accounts.
Required Experience
Four years Bachelor degree in Food Science/Chemistry/Biosciences or a related discipline and minimum 5 years of relevant regulatory experience.
Regulatory/labeling experience in Flavor and/or food industry.
Experience & understanding of customer’s need and regulatory obligation.
