Sr. Manager, Regulatory Compliance & Nutrition
Summary

The Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance & Nutrition will ensure compliance to applicable food regulatory requirements, focusing on our North America business. The position will manage labeling process and staff, setting expectations and motivating high performance, in their duties reviewing and approving product labeling, and contribute to continuous improvement by monitoring and auditing regulatory approval processes. The individual will manage the process for regulatory review and approval of specifications and contribute to developing best-in-class systems for specification management. Externally, the individual will identify and provide updates on regulatory developments and emerging scientific and consumer trends.

Responsibilities Manage and ensure adherence to rigorous internal process for compliant food product labeling, advertising, and claim substantiation for North American business Manage labeling manager direct report(s) to ensure regulatory compliance of products and fidelity to defined process, setting expectations and motivating high performance, Conduct regulatory reviews of raw material and finished good specifications and ensure fidelity to defined internal process Advise on system requirements and best practices for managing raw material and finished good specifications and ensuring compliance Advise on standards to ensure compliant and high-quality finished product manufacturing, including programs concerning net contents, allergens, and physiochemical testing. Engage with regulatory bodies (as needed) such as FDA, USDA, CFIA, PROFECO and others, to build relationships, resolve issues, and verify compliance of products and processes. Proactively identify risk and opportunities in regulations, nutrition science, and public health policy and ensure tracking of global issues and emerging trends that impact the reputation of our brands, trade, and future innovation opportunities. Provide strategic guidance to leadership regarding regulatory and nutrition policy issues, including identification and strategies for emerging trends that may impact our business. Requirements Masters degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory or a related technical discipline. Bachelors degree plus additional experience in-role will be considered. 5-7 years of relevant experience in the food and/or beverage industry in regulatory compliance.  Demonstrated experience in working on large-scale regulatory projects involving formulas, ingredients and labeling. Proficiency in food law, international food law, nutrition policy, R&D processes, and ingredient management on a global scale.  Organizational skills and strong attention to detail within a fast paced environment.  Demonstrated track record of working successfully across functions to achieve shared goals, and proven ability to interact cross-functionally at all levels within the organization.  Compensation Range: $118,400.00 - $177,600.00, plus bonus.
