Job Description: The SIOP segment lead serves as a functional subject matter expert in SIOP and materials planning across 20+ manufacturing sites. The production planning and scheduling senior manager oversees the coordination of develop materials planning and inventory management capabilities that will ensure smooth flow of parts and materials between departments, sites, and programs, and product families as well as optimal inventory levels. All of these processes will be developed with support from the program, planning, e3, and supply chain groups. Their duties involve developing SIOP and materials planning processes and best practices, driving delivery performance, setting execution targets, and tracking performance to meet program goals. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead diverse teams in complex tasks, development of process improvements, and creation of tools to enable our success.

Essential Functions:

Serve as the functional point of contact for the SIOP and materials planning disciplinesDevelop, deploy, and maintain SIOP and materials planning scheduling processes and best practices for the different program types across SAS operationsHelp design the organizational structure needed to support a best-in-class SIOP process Establish SIOP and materials planning training materials for SASBe an active member in the deployment and sustainment of SIOPDevelop a series of best-in-class metrics to support and enable SIOP Coordinate with sites to ensure that SIOP metrics are appropriately tracked, root caused and actioned as well as aggregated for reviews with leadership Prepare, develop, and coordinate material plans that support future program demand, production master schedules and integrated master schedules that meet all program objectivesEnsure alignment of MRP systems with production schedules Coordinate with sites to ensure that material plans drive an optimal balance between cost, working capital and revenue enablement Engage planning functions across programs and manufacturing sites to drive continuous improvement of SIOP and materials planning capabilities

Qualifications:

Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the function. Typically has mastery within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.10+ Years experience focused on a combination of SIOP, materials planning and inventory management in a manufacturing environment4 + Years of experience leading a team, process, and/or projects

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience developing and implementing SIOP processes Experience in defense/aerospaceExperience with Control and SAP MRP systems (ideally as an active user)Active DoD Clearance
