Position Summary:Samsung Electronics America is recruiting a leader to join the Samsung TV Plus Strategic Partner Management team. The SPM team is responsible for operationalizing and managing our content partnerships to drive growth across all key metrics.
The Strategic Partner Manager will be a key member of the Samsung TV Plus Business Development team and serve as a consultant to the content partners across the video platform. The candidate will require a keen understanding of the content ecosystem, OTT experience, ad tech, content and monetization analytics and have the ability to build strong relationships across a diverse portfolio of partners.
This position will focus on building and supporting critical functions to help drive viewership, maximize monetization, and further grow content engagement within Samsung TV Plus. It will require the ability to define and implement cross functional processes (documentation, tools, etc.) that are necessary for the organization to operate and collaborate more effectively. The ideal candidate has strong critical thinking skills with attention to operational, technical, and analytical details as well as the ability to see the big picture.
The Strategic Partner Manager will demonstrate a mastery of verbal and written communication skills, will lead meetings, provide presentations, represent Samsung TV Plus to all levels of the organization and manage external relationships with key partners. The Strategic Partner Manager position requires business negotiation and the ability to influence and move organizations to support goals. The ideal applicant is a self-starter and will need to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, manage multiple partners and work under tight timeframes.

Role and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:Implement strategic partnership management plans focused on operationalizing partnerships with the goal of driving partner success, revenue growth, and product adoption.Set account strategy and business objectives per partner; define and track KPIs; take responsibility for mobilizing partners and internal resources to execute and meet goals.Identify and analyze market trends and partner opportunities to uncover growth tactics.Partnership Development:Operationalize, maintain, and grow relationships with key content partners (studios, creators, media companies, and other relevant stakeholders).Develop highly effective, deep relationships with key partners. Provide day-to-day management of partner relationships with a focus on growth activities.Collaborate with external and internal teams to create and execute a cohesive growth strategy that leverages partnerships.Address any partnership-related issues or conflicts in a timely and professional manner.Performance Management:Monitor and evaluate the performance of content partnerships, utilizing analytics to assess impact and effectiveness.Develop strategy documents, quarterly business reviews, and executive presentations to communicate partnership success and areas for improvement to stakeholders.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with content acquisition, legal, product, operations, marketing, and engineering to integrate and optimize partnership components across various channels and products.Facilitate communication and collaboration among internal teams to ensure alignment with partnership goals.Strategically advocate partner interests across the organization.Market Research:Maintain a deep understanding of the Samsung TV Plus video ecosystem and continue to provide input on future platform improvements.Conduct research to identify potential partners and assess their capabilities and relevance to organizational objectives.Communicate market trends and industry shifts, including implications and recommendations, to internal and external partners.Skills and Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.MBA or master’s degree is preferred but not required.Experience:10+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, or strategic collaboration roles.Proven track record of successfully managing partnerships and achieving business objectives.Skills:Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to foster effective partnerships.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop actionable plans.Proficiency in project management and organizational skills to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously.Technical Proficiencies:Familiarity with CRM software and partnership management tools (Salesforce, Airtable, Confluence).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools.Personal Attributes:Results-oriented with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Adaptive and flexible, with strong problem-solving skills.Industry Knowledge:Knowledge of the digital video advertising ecosystem.Understanding of partnership dynamics and the ability to navigate diverse stakeholder interests.Leadership Abilities:Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing projects from inception to completion.Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA, is expected to be between $150,000 ~ $190,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
