What You'll DoLead a team of 2 operational team leads: Provide strong people leadership to ensure your team meets and exceeds performance goals.
Identify and eliminate barriers: Use critical thinking to remove waste and streamline processes.
Build and enhance workflows: Develop solid workflows that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Support all areas of operations: Collaborate with collaborators within GCS to ensure seamless operations.
Track and manage critical metrics
Set up important metrics and other benchmarks to assess and share progress.
Develop and support direct reports: Foster growth and development within the team.
Contribute to long-term capability plans: Collaborate with our learning team to develop a balanced capability plan for underwriting support teams.
Conduct root cause analysis: Apply problem-solving skills to comprehend and resolve underlying issues.
Support underwriting and billing teams: Assist with broker billing reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
Identify and deliver efficiency improvements: Continuously seek ways to improve operational performance.
Project sponsorship and product ownership: Lead projects related to underwriting services, balancing business needs with technological feasibility.
Act as a product ambassador: Represent the product internally and externally, ensuring alignment and progress.
Engage with leadership: Communicate progress, status, risks, and seek direction as needed to maintain momentum.
Free up capacity for Underwriting teams.
Achieve financial reconciliation of the MGA books.
Establish work processes as GCS expands new appetite and products.
Deliver important metrics and success measures for presentations to senior management and the board.
Drive continued performance and efficiency improvements.
Improve speed to market and coding quality across teams.
Standardize operating procedures across all business support teams.
Accountable to make project-related decisions for the team, including acceptance of incremental work completed with value add to end processes.
What You'll BringMinimum 5 years of leadership experience in P&C Insurance
