This team is focused on finding and tracking financially-motivated threat actors inside and outside of Proofpoint’s threat data. Using a variety of research techniques, threat intelligence, and data sources, they produce valuable information to help protect and inform Proofpoint’s email and network detection products as well as our customers. This person will manage the team of threat researchers responsible for this work. This person will have prior experience in leading a team who hunts for threat actors in vast amounts of data and creates threat intelligence deliverables based on those findings. This person understands a wide variety of areas including threat detection, malware research, data analysis, and host or network forensics. This role presumes prior people management experience as a direct manager. This leader will be responsible for the hiring, training and professional development of talented threat analysts.
