OVERVIEW:

Strategy, Execution, and Testing:Develops and maintains overarching visual merchandising strategies to achieve merchant goals for sales, margin, and turn of assigned categoriesWorks within team and with stakeholders to develop/refine strategies by season to maximize resultsDrives execution of major drive time floor sets from vendor sell-in through to the development of documents for field executionKeeps a pulse on industry trends to ensure best-in-class strategies for Dick's Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, and Field & Stream (as applicable). Drives testing of new strategies to continuously evolve the in-store customer experience.

Team Oversight and Development:​Defines team vision and direction and guides team to meet stated objectives.Encourages team development and fosters a positive working environment. Directly oversees multiple categories and develops associate’s business acumen and merchandising skills, serving as a sounding board, escalation point, and mentor.Indirectly oversees the floor planning capability for categories of responsibility.

Vendor Oversight and Resolution:Owns strategic, senior-level vendor relationships with key account vendor partners and design agencies.Drives initiatives with vendor partners from inception through to execution.  Works cross-functionally with Merchants, PAR, marketing and .com to ensure cohesive customer experiences.  Handles any issues that require senior-level escalation with the agencies.

Budget Forecasting and Timeline Management:Owns budgeting process for in-store initiatives by working across key stakeholders, fixture procurement, finance and Senior Leaders to obtain approval. Maintains timelines and develops risk-mitigation plans to ensure programs are effectively delivered to the stores.Dissemminates plans and budgets to appropriate team members and/or agencies/vendors.

Cross-Chain Strategy and Oversight:Ensures best practices are uniformly applied to Dicks Sporting Goods Golf Galaxy, and Field & Stream (as applicable by category). Works with Merchants, PAR, Operations and Field partners to develop  cross-chain merchandising strategies as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field

7-10 years of related experience

In-store merchandising experience
