This role is a critical piece of success to drive intense focus and improvement not only on the Allocations today (last step of the process), but building capabilities into the future of replenishment. Each role will manage 4-6 Departments by building a strategic plan specific to the categories of business and the optimal store inventory levels across the fleet.
This function has been identified as one of the most critical to future success of our organization's financials for Sales, GM and Inventory levels.
• Partner and Collaborate with the VP/DMM to develop and communicate a comprehensive allocation strategy that aligns financial and product goals by department/class in AOR
• Develop strategic plan and execution plan to manage the pre-season assortment to ensure initial store allocations are in line with the store and financial plan
• Engage deeply in upgrade effort for AAL. Develop and rollout/implementation of tool
• Leadership and Strategic direction of Allocation Analysts at execution phase
• Develop expertise across current tools inclusive of the APIP, PO (Splits), IFT and AAL.
• Build systemic capability to build store clusters to allow attribute stores to understand specific market needs based on region, sales, market criteria to drive purchases and allocations
• Support and help design significant Replenishment of the Future. Combination of current allocation strategies, but set up organization for replenishment from DC, enhanced VMI, etc.
• Review inventory levels and store rankings by department/class, and develop strategies to optimize inventory with new receipts and replenishment
• Perform high level in-season and post-season analysis to identify future opportunities
• Partner closely with the Operations leadership to create harmonious communication
• Report and lead on all Inventory KPIs for AOR
Qualifications and Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to develop and maintain strong working relationship with peers and cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
• Possess strong organization and time management skills. Possess a strong sense of urgency and a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
