Position Summary:
The Sr Manager B2B Pricing will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of business-to-business (B2B/PRO) pricing strategies to drive profitability and competitive advantage across the B2B markets. This role is responsible for analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, customer behavior, and company cost structures to develop data-driven pricing models. The Sr Manager B2B Pricing will collaborate closely with sales, finance, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and revenue goals. The B2B/PRO Manager will also partner regularly with the Manager of Price Advisory, to find pricing opportunities regardless of channel.
Primary Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy Development:
+ Design and implement dynamic PRO pricing strategies based on market conditions, competitor analysis, and customer demand.
+ Develop and maintain PRO pricing models that ensure competitiveness while maximizing profitability.
+ Lead pricing segmentation efforts based on customer types, and Customer/ Product intersections
+ Lead initiatives to optimize PRO pricing structures, including discounting strategies/promotional effectiveness and contract pricing. Monitor effectiveness of strategies/ tactics and course correct as needed.
+ Work closely with Director of Pricing and in partnership with Manager Pricing Advisory, to lead PRO initiatives to optimize pricing, markdowns, and promotional strategies to maximize profitability.
Pricing Execution:
+ Advise, maintain, and adjust Pro Pricing tool assumptions and guideposts. Engage with PRO team leadership and merchants on changes to vendor/class/subclass assumptions and guideposts.
+ Provide Pricing Operations with all data needed to systemically execute PRO retail changes.
+ Guide and manage PRO price for retail-based promotions by engaging with marketing team for effective understanding of PRO pricing options and marketing headline options by event/offer
Data Analysis and Reporting:
+ Analyze internal and external data to forecast PRO pricing impact on revenue and profitability.
+ Monitor market trends and competitor pricing activities, adapting strategies as needed.
+ Present PRO pricing insights, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
+ Work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and provide relevant business insights.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, offering expertise in data-driven decision-making.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
+ Develop and implement standardized PRO pricing procedures and policies across the organization, identify and solve integration issues into retail price change procedures and policies
+ Utilize pricing tools and technologies to enhance pricing processes.
+ Continuously review pricing strategies to ensure efficiency, scalability, and alignment with market conditions.
Change Management:
+ Lead and manage change initiatives to ensure successful implementation of new processes, tools, and strategies.
+ Monitor and evaluate the impact of change initiatives and make necessary adjustments to ensure effectiveness.
Education, Experience & Skills:
Education & Experience: • Undergraduate degree required; MBA is preferred
• 5-10 years’ experience in pricing, revenue management within the B2B space. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies
Additional skills/knowledge required include: • Data driven, goal oriented with very strong quantitative decision-making skills. You measure success both quantitatively and qualitatively, and understand the importance of both
• Must be an analytical, strategic thinker with the ability to effectively collaborate with various business units
• Extraordinary Excel/PowerPoint/financial modeling skills
• Demonstrated ability to leverage large datasets to extract actionable insights and analysis
• Track record of building and leading effective teams
• Able to manage multiple high pressure competing deadlines, while delivering high quality work
• Service oriented approach and mindset
• Consistent record for innovation, execution, and delivering results in a performance-driven culture
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, and strong analytical skills
