Summary of Role:
The Senior Manager/Deputy Director will be joining the team to drive GF the RF Front End and Wireless Connectivity business for Smart Mobile Devices and Wearables. Enabling the adoption and development of GF products for next generation wireless in Smartphone, AR, VR and Wearable products. This role requires an individual with deep RF system knowledge and understanding for RF Front End and Wireless connectivity SoCs, coupled with a dep desire to engage with customers and create business growth.
This position reports to the Sr. Director, of Smart Mobile Devices & Wearables End Market.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Essential responsibilities include:
Understand and explain market dynamics and requirements for Mobile Wireless Communication, including RF Front Ends.
Grow GF’s opportunity pipeline and sales funnel
Identify segments/applications with Attractive CAGR within EM
Understand Bottoms-up SAM by segment / by application
Identify Target Customers and customer engagements in partnership with the GF Sales organization to
Identify the GF solution including technology platform, differentiating feature(s) and design IP that best serves a customer’s needs and drive adoption.
Drive the roadmap with thought leadership to ensure we have the right technology to win
Understand client’s products, product roadmaps and corresponding technology needs.
Define the market requirements, captured in MRDs, for new technology features and design IP to be developed in accordance with market needs.
Drive the business case including scope, schedule, resources, demand and pricing model to deliver a technology solution at returns consistent with GF growth objectives.
Drive revenue and share growth in our target markets
Create and deploy compelling presentation collateral to articulate the value of GF’ solutions to the customer and end-users to drive adoption.
Drive design win targets and create detailed plans to achieve them.
Develop strategic relationships with customers and eco-system partners to achieve success across a 5+ year horizon.
Serve as a champion of GF technology solutions with strong external presence at technology conferences, trade shows, webinars etc.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related engineering field
7+ Years of Experience in various RF connectivity; working with RF Front Ends, Wireless Systems and/or the development of RF SoCs
Knowledge of communications architecture including antenna, RF front-end, transceiver, baseband and applications processing.
The individual will need to possess broad technical and business skills to be successful in the role
Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills
Travel Requirements: 25% of travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business, Electrical Engineering or related field
Deep domain expertise in wireless communications protocols including 3GPP, UMW, WiFi, NFC and emerging satellite communications protocols
Deep domain expertise wireless communications SoCs
Understanding of RFSOI, FDSOI, and scaled CMOS silicon 90nm to 6 nm technology
Experience designing communications circuits including antenna design, RF front-end design or RF transceiver design, including digital and/or analog blocks ( ADC, DACs, etc)
Expected Salary Range
$131,900.00 - $263,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
