About the Role The Sr. Manager Finance Technology will work closely with finance leadership to understand organization challenges and use their technical and business experience to build systems and processes to overcome those challenges. This role will also be responsible for assessing and recommending third party solutions that will help the finance organization achieve its strategic objectives. This is a high profile role with exposure to the highest levels of finance leadership Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement new finance technologies for a broad finance usergroup: enhance and provide new technology solutions that help automate/optimize processes and improve the analytic capabilities across all finance accounting treasury and tax functions; test and perform quality assurance on new processes and applications; provide training and support for new and existing processes and tools Manage and maintain proprietary finance technologies ensuring the system accurately represents accounting general ledger data; supports all internal/external reporting and reconciliation requirements; adequate controls (including security and back-ups); operates in a stable and efficient manner Administer key reporting & planning processes; perform routine month-end close functions some of which include: data versioning mapping table maintenance reconciliation and report creation/review; during planning cycles create and capture planning scenarios create planning templates/reports provide user support and trouble-shoot problems Collaborate with non-Finance business units such as Sales Marketing Human Resources to identify process improvement opportunities; work with stakeholders to develop processes and systems to convert these process improvement opportunities into process improvement realities Skills/Abilities: Advanced SQL skills Microsoft SSAS and SSIS Advanced Excel Skills MS Office Data Visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI or QuickSight or others Presentation skills. Empathetic Self-starter Problem solving mindset with an ability to translate technical speak into business speak. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience working in finance / accounting or supporting finance/ accounting in a technical role Experience working with general ledger / ERP systems Experience working with integrating data from disparate sources Experience working with data warehouses High level knowledge of GAAP principles desired Experience working with senior executives 6+ years of experience managing teams (direct or indirect) Financial Responsibilities (budget revenue): This position has budget responsibility authority and/or level of control. Physical Requirements: Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Base Salary Minimum $130,000 Base Salary Maximum $150,000
