We are looking for a Sr. Manager Indirect Procurement to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will be based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

As a member of Bloom’s Global Procurement Organization, the Sr. Manager Indirect Procurement is responsible for leading and driving indirect sourcing for a group of spend categories with enterprise-wide scope. The Sr. Manager has responsibility for the procurement governance model through collaboration with senior leaders in multiple organizations to secure optimal purchasing opportunities for Bloom.

The Sr. Manager is a strategic business partner, interfacing at the VP and C-levels within the company, with the ability to understand internal customer needs and drive results to achieve customer satisfaction. This position is also responsible for driving continuous improvement of procurement processes throughout Bloom and provides expertise to business leaders in planning and implementing sourcing strategies to achieve business goals and objectives.

This Role has enterprise risk mitigation responsibilities. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain be a team of Indirect procurement specialists with expertise in supporting Corporate Procurement, supplier risk management, policy & procedures, procurement governance, process and tools associated with the procurement model.

Responsibilities

Help influence the creation and implementation of business-led sourcing strategies for assigned categories of spend, manage the development of RFx materials, detailed analysis of proposals and vendor capabilities, negotiations and supplier selection. Leverage key metrics to identify problem areas and adopt current and emerging business models with an entrepreneurial mindset and creative approach to drive best practice.Lead and coach the Indirect Procurement Staff to adopt the best practices and produce the same results for their respective areas.Lead and coach a team responsible to strategically partner with business leaders by providing procurement expertise and strategic partnering for purchasing opportunities. Counsel business leaders regarding purchasing processes, technology capabilities and policies to assist in the procurement lifecycle.Build and manage relationships with priority business executives, serves as a key member of the business unit leadership team to support implementation of business strategies through advanced procurement initiatives and team alignment.Facilitate the sourcing process and closely collaborate with clients to select and award business to suppliers for cross functional activities. Demonstrate a strategic business mindset, organizational savvy, presents an executive-level presence, and balances multiple stakeholder interests simultaneously.Drive and mentor staff in long-term strategic planning efforts for the continuous improvement of the procurement governance infrastructure.Lead the development and negotiation of contracts with new suppliers and/or renegotiate existing contracts to accomplish the lowest total system cost and savings objectives as well as coach staff to produce the same results for their respective areas.Conduct category spend analysis and reporting, supplier stratification, supply market and category industry research as well as coach for staff to produce the same results for their respective areas.Provide oversight and evaluate ethical procurement practices of contracted goods and services which includes compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations.Hire, develop, motivate, and retain high performing staff. Provide guidance on assigned activities and ensure follow-through on assigned tasks and projects. Evaluate performance and provide guidance and/or recognition.

Required experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Finance preferred12 years’ experience in a procurement role that includes strategic sourcing with demonstrated success in influencing business strategy and vendor relationsCandidates with Experience in managing capital equipment and real estate/Construction projects will be given preference Superior negotiation skills developed through significant corporate sourcing environment experienceExperience writing/generating RFxs to suppliers and leading teams in complex RFx projectsExcellent quantitative, analytical and project management skillsStrong influencing skills that can be used to lead teams and build partnerships with internal resources and supply basePreferred: Certification in or equivalent training in Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)/Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)Salary Ranges:$164,000.00 - $236,000.00
