As the Sr. Manager of Global Procurement Strategic Category Cost - Construction, you will be at the forefront of driving and implementing cost objectives and plans to achieve overall project cost targets. Directing a team of seasoned cost analysts, you will standardize cost analysis practices and leverage technology to enhance insights and find opportunities. You will also establish methodologies with team members, ensuring seamless integration into business practices.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate should possess a proven track record to attract, recruit, and retain dedicated individuals. You will be comfortable working in a dynamic, iterative environment that also affords the stability of a global, well-established and competitive technology company.

Cost Objectives and Planning: Develop and implement cost objectives and plans to achieve overall project cost targets.Performance Tracking: Monitor cost performance across key dimensions, including the overall project and critical areas.Team member Alignment: Ensure all key team members have a clear understanding of cost tracking and control mechanisms.Accountability and Goal Reinforcement: Hold workstreams accountable for meeting targets and emphasize the importance of goals and deadlines.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to identify project cost opportunities that enhance competitiveness and ensure successful project execution. Facilitate ideation and evaluation sessions across different functions.Framework Development: Create and implement a framework for continuous improvement in construction cost analysis, ensuring competitive cost negotiations for Procurement Category teams.Governance and Cost Reduction: Establish a stage gate process for cost reduction with appropriate governance.Trend Analysis: Identify and analyze any cost irregularities and trends.Executive Critical issue: Raise achievements and barriers to executive sessions as needed.Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with team members across the company (e.g., Procurement, Facilities Construction, Finance, Operations) to ensure overall project success.Provide Insights: Offer insights on procurement cost-related aspects, including systems, processes, competitiveness benchmarking, and opportunities.Mentorship and Development: Mentor, coach, and develop team members, promoting the best practice-based solutions.Data Collaboration: Work with business analytics and smart manufacturing teams to develop tools for maintaining, tracking, and reporting key cost data to drive decision-making.

How To Qualify:

Minimum 10+ years of relevant project and management experience in cost management, cost controls, quantity surveying, or business analytics, particularly in Semiconductor / Cleanroom / Hospital / Pharmaceutical-related projectsProficiency in Microsoft applications, data analysis, and experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, incorporating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and benchmarking concepts.Excellent communication, consulting, and presentation skills.Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Building & Quantity Survey, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Finance, Operations or a related field.
