Sr. Manager Operational Excellence
This position is fully remote and responsible for leveraging the Winland Excellence Systems to drive performance improvement at multiple manufacturing sites. The leader that assumes this highly visible role will have an opportunity to lead meaningful change by building capability in the site’s operations teams to unlock capacity and achieve significant cost savings. This position will require approximately 75% travel across the United States and Canada.

Job Description:

Position Responsibilities: 

Program Deployment

Oversee deployment and reapplication of the Winland Excellence Systems (MOS/Daily Direction Setting, Defect Handling, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, Problem Solving, Deep Cleaning, Centerline, Clean Inspect Lubricate, and Health Checks).Integrate digital solutions and platforms into the operating model to eliminate non-value added activity and advance problem solving initiatives.Ensure alignment and adherence to current standards, while methodically improving the standards based on best practices across the industry.

Build Capability

Coach and provide feedback to plant managers and site leadership teams to advance from compliance to effective execution of the core Winland Excellence Systems.Coordinate, facilitate, and support trainings both virtually and in person to improve technical capability and problem solving proficiency across the network.

Design and implement KPI reporting

Lead program reporting activities (KPI tracking, goal setting, impact valuation).Plan and deliver update meetings with senior management to review pain points and develop solutions.Engage with teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Influence program strategic direction

Oversee objectives and adjust priorities to deliver Digitally Enabled Lean value ambitions.Advance the maturity of the Winland Excellence Systems.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred – ideally in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business.Position requires weekly Monday-Thursday travel- 3 weeks traveling and 1 week home rotationPosition requires the ability to obtain a Passport for travel outside of the United StatesManufacturing leadership and coaching experience Required (3-5 years plant leadership level).Firm grasp and internalization of Continuous Improvement principles.Experience leveraging various digital platforms to drive continuous improvement.Demonstrated ability to teach technical problem solving and root cause analysis.Demonstrated ability to disagree effectively; considering differing points of view objectively and articulate a recommended path forward to resolve conflicts.Proven presentation and communication skills engaging with multiple levels of an organization (Senior Leadership through Front Line Employees).Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well and communicate with others.Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
